Life is good. A lazy Monday morning, me with my bolster resting on a cushion and Barney on the telly. Life is good, I tell you.
I know this post is days late but better late than never, right? My mom called me on Christmas's eve and asked if I wanted to go shopping. I said okay. I should have known better. She went looking for a pendant for herself and I ended up buying a pair of earrings for myself (boy I have the will power of a traitor). You see, I just got my ears pierced a month back and ever since I am drawn to earrings like a moth to a flame. This pair is reasonable. It's $98 and of course my mom had to buy a pair for herself too.
Urmmmm.....3 plastic cards from 3 different places.
Yup. I got the ear rings from Citigems which is a subsidiary of Lee Hwa Jewellery. In Northpoint shopping centres these 2 shops are situated side by side. If you get scared off the prices from Lee Hwa (what with the purple gold and others), just scurry off to Citigems.
You had served me well this past year. But life had its own demands and soon we will be parted as I found a better partner and cheaper too. I'll try not to think of you too much (and I know I won't). I'll keep you safe in a spectacle box and on my shelf.
Hahaha. Yes! That's me on the left with the red-rimmed glassed and my mom on the right. I actually look human. Hehe. I am not into taking photos of myself for reasons that I look more humanoid than human. I have this tendency to come out looking weird in photos. But I thought that this photo looks nice.
Nephew and his grand god-mother. My nephew adores her and vice-versa.
The Christmas cake. Not in the picture was my nephew holding on to a plastic knife preparing to cut the cake.
My brother enjoying his favourite hobby. Eating. It was a sumptious spread of laksa, nasi lemak and DIY popiah.
My nephew wondering when we'll eat the cake.
Hahaha, after yesterday's fiasco with my lim hair, this looks so much better. Right? Right? You can see I have a little "lump" now on top of my head.
Thought to show you people out there how I look when I was twelve years old. And the Tianpo Jewellery card, I heard you ask? I am using it to cover my personal info. And also to let you know I spent a certain amount of $$$ at one sitting to get this.

In case, you can't read the Engrrish words, it says "Brute Force Cupula Pot Hook". Can't see how brute and how forceful it was and I had no "cupula" to use for my pot hook"
Picasso-wannabe took a look at my hand and drew it cubist-style a la Picasso. (NB: He still young lah, never buy easel for him, so use his white board, ok?)
How my hand really looks like.
Future boss of some mega-super mart.
Before becoming a future boss of some mega-mart. They have to start from the bottom.
When you become a boss, you must learn one simple rule, there are always bills, bills, bills! Look at the intense concentration.
Firstly, wait for the Birds' Nest to be warmed up and harassed everyone around you as to when the Birds' Nest will be ready while sitting impatiently on the chair.
Secondly, keep checking every nano second if the bottle is warm enough.
Thirdly, after the birds' nest is warmed up, you pour it into a porcelain bowl and gobble it up.
Fourthly, if you are unable to scoop up the remnants, you pour it into your mouth.
Finally, after eating the birds' nest you wash it down with some warm water.
It was a lazy Sunday morning sometime last last week. Just came back breakfast. Bought some kueh from Cold Storage, was still testing my camera and asked me mom to put her hand on the ondeh ondeh. Not really delicious, the food I mean.
Future F1 driver test-driving his car.
Hehe. Me hiding behind my comforter again.
A booth at Novena Square was set up by Chummeez (sp?) restaurant. I got fried rice, sweet and sour pork and a ginger drink for SGD$4.50. Rather reasonable considering the price of mediorce food that you buy at the food court.
Guess what this is? Scroll down to the last picture to find out.
This is a picture taken from my home.
Ta-dah! It's tissues.

My cousins in blue and white and my grandmother (the one on white hair) and me with half of my face blacked out. While having my face blacked out, I noticed that my face looked really oily. Yucks!
Having a serious discussion.
My father is making almond paste, one of the favourite dessets in the family and really easy to make. You need almonds, almond powder and syrup. Blend them all in a good blender adding water to determine its consistency. Stirring it constantly and voila see below for finished product.
It has a smooth consistency, just the way I like it. I asked my father to make this more watery. He is able to make it gruel-like but I prefer mine watery.
The finished product.
My lunch of fruits and agar-agar.
The computer system went down a coupla days ago. While waiting for the "super" efficient IT people to fix this problem. I took a pic of myself and went to buy my lunch as photographed below.
This consists of bee hoon aka mifen, egg with ham, fish ball, half a sausage and a chicken nugget. This is a set that set me back SGD$3.95 and comes together with green bean soup and barley water.
